Jacob spent the day in Cowley for a music festival. He said they practiced and practiced and practiced and practiced for hours. All the practice paid off because their concert sounded fantastic. He is playing a tenor recorder.
In other news, Mark had a track meet in Cody today and took 6th in the 300 meter hurdles. Lovell was the only 2A school there. The schools that participated were Riverton, Worland, Cody, Powell, Sheridan, Jackson, Pinedale and Lovell. Usually we have a few Montana schools but I didn't see them this year. Most of the small schools went to Greybull for a meet. The most pleasant surprise of the meet was that Chayli McArthur took first in the triple-jump. She went somewhere in the 33's. Not bad for a Freshman's first meet.
Mark went to Laurel after the meet to go to Prom with some of his friends. Mark's friend Trevor now lives in Laurel and some girls from there asked if he could get some of his cute Lovell friends to take them to Prom. They had to get a written testimonial from our principal and copies of their drivers' license before it was okay-ed for them to go. They will sleep tonight at Trevor's house and go to church with him and then come home tomorrow afternoon. I am sure they will have a great time. So the boys are Colin, Trevor, Mark and Dino. What fun!
