National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete

Mark was one of ten high school finalists in the state for the Wyoming Chapter of the National Football Foundation.  We went down to Laramie for the Banquet they had to honor these boys.  This is a Scholar Athlete Award.  They based their selection on 40% Football skills, 40% Academic, and 20% Leadership and Community service.
This is the plaque they gave to Mark.  He got this and a $1200 scholarship to the school of his choice which is looking like the University of Wyoming.
This is cool.  All the mothers got to take home these vases that were made especially for this banquet.  The guy who does these is very interesting.  His father actually played for UW and still holds many national football records.

Here is his board.  All the kids had boards and there were very interesting to read.  All of these boys are pretty fantastic.  The overall winner was Cooper Wise from Powell.

Thanks, Lauren, I will really miss this kid when he graduates and goes off to college and then a mission. I will somehow comes to terms with watching Jacob participate in sixth grade sports.
