Jack-O-Lanterns!

We grew some pretty nice pumpkins in our pumpkin patch this year.  It was fun to watch them take over the back of the yard.  We carved the best into some pretty cool Jack-O-Lanterns!  Jacob just loved getting the 'guts' out of this one.
Spike is doing his as a tribute to Jared's obsession to the New York Yankees.  He used his drimmel to help with the carving.
Mark is pretty darn intent on his carving.  I loved the way it turned out.
This one is mine.  Scary!
Jacob's turned out looking pretty darn evil.  At first he thought is turned out very badly but I told him to wait until we got the candle inside and took it outside.  Cool, very cool.
Mark's turned out way awesome.
Here is Spike's.  I didn't know he has such skill with the drimmel.  He needs to do more art projects!

Wow! Those pumpkins are way impressive. When we're carving, we usually give our kids options like "Do you want circle, square or triangle eyes? Do you want a circle, square or triangle nose? How many teeth?"....and that's about the extent of our artistic abilities. We should really branch out and try to get a little more creative.
