Easter e-mail from Mark

so easter has been going very well. spring break was last week so most everyone was gone for the past week. but the work is still progressing. we had a dan jones investigator this week. to be a dan jone investigator we must meet them give them a lesson they offer a prayer at the end of the lesson and then they come to church on the following sunday. so we met a girl named elaine. we sang her a song on friday evening than gave her a church tour and lesson right after. she is from china, and her english is super. she watched a baptisum on saterday, came to church on sunday, and we will meet with her tonight. she has very little background with religion at all. but she felt the spirt several times as she has met with us. and she loves to do service. she is on date to be baptized on april 27th.
Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, has provided a way for us to return to live with god. through faith in him and his atonement, repentance, baptisum, reciving the gift of the holy ghost and enduring to the end. now we know this, this seems very simple. but there are so meny people in the world that don't even know about religion. they haven't even heard about christ. and there are so many people trying to find the truth but they know not where to find it.
there are also alot of people of other christian faiths that feel content or happy with what they believe. now for an analogy. there is a child of about 4 years old the parents havent ever given this child candy yet. the child has tasted meny diffrent types of food, but nothing so sweet as candy. the parents can try and discribe to the child how good candy tastes but the child wont be able to comprehend it untill they have experinced it for themself.
there are people out there who have had sweet things in life but if they havent tasted of the gosple they they can't know for themselves how sweet it tastes. make sure when offering the gosple to others we teach by the power of the holy spirit. otherwise they will taste the candy with the wraper still on and choose to reject it. the holy ghost is the teacher we are not.
thankyou so very much for all your love.
oh one thing i learned, when praying and asking the lord to help with missionary experinces, be more spicific. and set goals and deadlines. for example, ask for being to ask X amout of people to come to church by Y date. or to have dinner with the missionaries. or learn about the gosple. but always keep the lord in your prayers and decitions when setting these goals. and be willing to act on the goals.
i love you all. thanks.
