Pictures of some of the weekend!

Mark and Kylie have decided on a date and a place. August 14 in the billings Montana temple! Yea! The reception will be on the 15th. We went to five springs for a hike. Don't you just love our picture tree?

Lots of news!

First, I get a new daughter! Yea! Mark got engaged to Kylie Jordan. They will be getting married in August. We are not sure of the date yet or which temple.

Second, we are patiently waiting for another grandchild. Due in.....August. I hope all the schedules work together.

Third, we are getting hot tired and sore. We are putting a new roof on the apartment building. My hands are scraped. It we are accomplishing a lot and should be done by Wednesday. We will be finished with the short side today. Then we need to get rid of dead shingles so we can tear off the long side on Monday. Then hopefully we can put the paper down and then shingle on Tuesday and Wednesday. Lots to do. We thought we could hire a nephew to help but he just got a job....so....no.

Weekend Update

We had a very nice weekend. School has been out for a week now and we have tried to get lots of work done. We got the lawns going for the rental, mowed our lawn which is no small feat, and Jacob is going to mow aunt Sylvia's lawn this summer. That should help keep him busy. He is going to be grandma flash's gopher this summer, just helping out with odd jobs here and there. Bob is feeling better so he is doing a lot of the mowing.

Mark came home and brought a friend, a girl friend that is. Kylie is a very nice girl. They are going to try to get up here again a few more times this summer. It is so nice to have Lucas and Shanae living so close. They came over on Friday with their friends to watch a movie at the Hyart. I got to watch the little ones. Then they came over on Saturday to hang out with Mark and we had some cousins over to play some peanut carnage.

Spike had lots to do over the weekend. We are finally selling our place in Powell. He had to do a last minute fix on the water system. He has been super busy and I appreciate all he does. 

Something funny we did was put our pictures in an app and see what is says about how much we look like our parents. I don't think it is scientific at all but we enjoyed looking at these.

Eighth Grade Graduation!

Jacob is finished with middle school. Now he is off to bigger and better things. He tried out for swing choir and made it as a bass. He originally tried out as a tenor. Just last year he was a soprano. That's what growing up will do for you. Here are some pictures from the graduation.

Happenings

More happenings. I couldn't keep,up with everything so here we go... We picked up Lucas' boys on May first. Rachael and her girls flew into Cody on Sunday, May third. We loved having such a houseful. We tried to,have the kiddo's fed and dressed by the time Jacob went to school and spike and I went to work. Eli came up the following week to help out. Then Rachael and Eli left and we were going to take the boys to Greybull where Lucas got a job. Their rental house was so icky that they stayed here in Lovell while,the nasty part got done. Thanks to Christina for helping watch the boys for a day while I went to work. Spike, Jacob and I went to Greybull on a Friday and mowed,the yard, pulled weeds, put up a fence and generally did outside stuff. Then we ate at A&W. Jacob loves that place.

Today, Memorial Day we spent the morning walking around the cemetery talking about our loved ones that have gone on before us. We miss many of them and would like to know the others.  Here are some pictures so you can see what we have been up to.

Yankee Fan or a Brewer Fan?

Jared has absolutely been in love with the New York Yankees  forever. His room was decorated with Yankee facts and photos. This photo recently showed up in my texting inbox. What??? How can this be?? Just kidding, it looks like they were having a good time. Jared just landed a good job and things are going well for him.

Potato Gun Activity

Our YM groups has so much fun. They built potato guns tonight no will launch them sometimes in the next few weeks. Jacob came home yelling "Say hello to my little friend!" How fun is that!

Jacob's track pictures

Here are the pictures of Jacob's track team. Lots of kids out. He is in the back row trying to look tall. It is working for him. He is getting stronger and stronger as the season goes by. The surgery and the rehabilitation has taken a long time. He was out of sports and any real exercise for about six months. If you look closely at his knees you can see the scars and the difference in the muscles. Interesting.
