Undefeated!

Jacob and his team had an undefeated season! Way to go kiddos! These guys worked really well together, they may not have been the best players individually but they completely dominated when they played together. Left to right is Chris, Mikal, Canon, Thomas, Jacob and Brendon. Their coaches were Dylan and Craig.

Marie Mae McGonagle Grant

Mike 's mom, Marie Grant passed away early this morning after she said good-bye to all of her children. She is loved by many and will be missed.

Mark' latest e-mails

the pictures should be in the packeges not the e mails. that way i can look at them more than once a week. and i can show my companion.

ok so long story short, and i will mail it in more detail later. i talked to a girl who has some backgroung in the church when she was in primary. but she never received her testimony. She wasn't intrested in learning more at first but through the spirit I was able to show her the she really did want to learn more and build her faith and receive a testimony. She now has scheduled appointments to meet with us, and wants to learn more. The Lord is awesome. he truly will give you the words to say just at the moment that you need to say them. its wonderful to see.
now a side note. there are tempations all the time. during the time that i was talking to her i was coming up with cool little analogys, i asked a question 2 times and she answered it contradicaly to how she was talking earlier. and then i asked the same question again but i broke it up into 2 questions that helped her understand that she really did want to learn more. but i could of been so easy to claim all of the thoughts that i had as my own. that i thought up a bunch of analogies and how to ask questions. that tempation is there to claim the glory. but glory be to God. and glory be his forever. the lord is so awesome. make sure to always give thanks for every little thing. the lord is part of our lives so much even the little things and it is so easy to claim the credit for thoughs little things. but dont. give credit where credit is due.

yes i got your last package. send stamps, ties, hymn cds, and a gyro ball. i have a really neat experience but it is to long for the e mail so i will need stamps to send it to you. and to write jacob

Great Night for BB

I got to go see Jacob in action last night at the Cowley Gym.  He is playing some little league basketball and I missed all last weeks games because I was in Laramie. He told me he was doing well and last night I saw that he wasn't lying one bit. He made 12 of his teams 27 points last night.  The other team was 14.  Jacob is taller than the other boys and has long arms so is able to block lots of shots and get lots of rebounds.  He needs to work on getting better position under the basket and boxing out but ...Hey, he did a great job and had lots of fun.  His team works well together and they all like each other.  None of his 'best' friends are on his team and that is probably a good thing. He needs to branch out a little in the social department.

Dylan Hultgren and Craig Lundberg are coaching the team and they are just doing a great job.  Dylan is so fun to watch as he coaches these kiddos. He really loves basketball and loves teaching the skills.

Happy Birthday Elder Grant

Mark turns nineteen today! He got to go earlier on his mission than he had planned, so this is the first time one of my boys have turned nineteen on a mission. He was so excited when he heard that they were lowering the age that you could leave on a mission. He texted me immediately after he found out last fall and asked what he should do. Like a good mother I told him that he needed to fast and pray about it and get an answer for himself. He did and within two weeks had his mission papers in and then got a quick call to the Washington Seattle mission. He is doing well there. He keeps telling us that we need to do more missionary work and that lord's work is hastening forward. So for Mark's birthday today, let's all pray for some missionary experiences so that we can share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We finally got a letter from Mark that included a picture of his mission president and wife. Doesn't Mark look great? There is also one of Mark and his first companion.

New Baby!

Carson Rodney Grant was born Friday, March 8th at 8:02 in the morning. He weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces and so so very handsome. I got to come to Laramie to help mostly with Connor and the dog. Shanae needs to have C-sections so she has a bit of a stay in the hospital. Lucas has mid-terms this coming week so they needed a little help.

It is so nice to be able to visit with Rachael, Eli and Eve. I got to see their new house and playing with Eve is just so much fun. When Connor and Eve get together they mostly start laughing at each other with these big belly laughs. So much excitement and fun.

I also got to visit with Gwen, Betsy and Susie. Laramie is a great place to be :)

Red Square

We got word from Mark that he is happily serving in a young single adult ward near the Washington University campus. He said he does a lot of contacting on Red Square. So.....as a good mother does, I checked out the place and there is a web cam. Cool. The resolution is so bad that you can't tel who is whom. Not cool. I can tell what kind of weather he is having. Cool. The uncool part is that I tried to put the actual view on this post and it did't work so I put a different view of Red Square up. We got some nice letters from him this week. Jacob got one but he won't be home to open it until tomorrow. Hmmm.....I could steam it open and he would never know.....
